Knox County:




  • The Red, White & Blues Pre-Independence Day Picnic and Concert runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 3, at Renaissance Farragut. The event features a concert by American Idol contestant Casey Abrams. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
  • The 20th annual Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley Duck Race will be held at 2:02 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 at World’s Fair Park. Festivities and on-site adoptions start at 11:30 a.m. and run through 1:50 p.m. With each $5 duck adoption, you will be entered to win one of four prizes: $10,000 cash, $5,000 cash a $2,500 Pilot gas card and a 42″ Cub Cadet Riding Mower.   • Festival on the 4th kicks off in World’s Fair Park at 4 p.m., rain or shine. The Regal Kids Zonewill be n operation from 4 to 8 p.m. and a concert by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra starts at 8 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:40 p.m.
  • The Powell Lion Club Independence Day Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Clinton Highway. Resident Fred Pardue will serve as grand marshal. Pardue served as a tail gunner on a B-17 during World War II, taking part in operations over Europe and the Battle of the Bulge.
  • The 28th Annual Independence Day Parade starts Saturday, July 4, in Farragut at 9:30 a.m. The parade starts on Kingston Pike at Lendon Welch Way, the entrance to Farragut High School, and will continue to Boring Road, just each of Farragut Towne Square. A representative of The Love Kitchen will serve as grand marshal.


Blount County:


  • Faith Promise Church is holding a free Independence Day Celebration on July 5 at Maple Lane Farms. The event includes games, inflatables, free food, a high energy outdoor worship service and fireworks by Pyro Shows. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Townsend is hosting a 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks from 9 to 10 p.m. located next to Highland Manor Inn, 7766 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway.


Sevier County:

  • Gatlinburg is hosting its annual midnight 4th of July Parade. The parade, now in its 40th year, steps off with Nan Kelley, host of Great American Country’s Top 10 Country Countdown and Army Capt. Steve Voglezon. The parade starts at 12:01 a.m.
  • Gatlinburg’s fireworks show will be at 10 p.m. in downtown Gatlinburg.
  • The 25th Annual Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival starts at noon in Patriot Park. Onstage entertainment begins at 1:30 p.m. A fireworks display brings the festival to a close at 9 p.m. Free parking is available in the Municipal Parking Lot on Teaster Lane. A shuttle is available.


Jefferson County:


  • The New Market Volunteer Fire Department is holding a 4th of July festival. Admission is $5. Food and music will be available. It runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • The Jefferson City Parade starts at 2 p.m. Those taking part should lineup at 1 p.m. at Main Street and Russell.
  • White Pine Freedom Fest will also celebrate the town’s centennial anniversary. The free event includes several kids events including water slide inflatables, “water wars,” and cornhole. There will also be food, including slow-cooked barbecue and gourmet hot dogs. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, in downtown White Pine near the US Bank Building and Ramsey Furniture.


Anderson County:


  • The Museum of Appalachia is holding its annual July 4th Celebration and Anvil Shoot on Saturday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m
  • Clinton’s free 4th of July event kicks off at 5 p.m. and ends with fireworks at 10 p.m. Backyard Bouncers will have a 68 foot obstacle course, 22 feet two lane tsunami water slide, bungee run and more. Food vendors, live entertainment and antique cars will be on hand. Cornhole stars at 7 p.m.
  • The Norris Lions Club is holding its 47th Annual Norris Day celebration in downtown Norris. The event begins with a Firecracker Road Run. Officials say the highlight is a barbecue dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria of Norris Middle School. The event concludes with fireworks.
  • The Oak Ridge Community Band is holding its annual Independence Day concert at A.K. Bissell Park behind the Oak Ridge Civic Center. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by fireworks.
  • Rocky Top’s July 4th Celebration will be at George Templin Athletic Field, featuring live music, food, inflatables and more. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.


Loudon County:


  • Loudon Parks and Rec is hosting its Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3. The vent runs from 6 p.m. until dark at the Tate & Lyle Performing Arts Center and features a fireworks show.
  • The Lenoir City 4th of July parade kicks off with the annual Firecracker Run, a half-mile fun run for kids 5 to 12. The parade lineup starts at 10 a.m. on July 4 at Yale Commercial Locks and goes down C Street beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Rockin’ The Docks begins at 4 p.m. in the Lenoir City Park/Cove area with live music Food vendors will also be on hand. Fireworks start at 10 p.m.


Roane County:


  • Smokin’ the Water runs Friday and Saturday on the Kingston waterfront, 201 Patton Perry Road. More information.

Hamblen County:


  • Hamblen County’s Party in the Park is being held at Cherokee Park beginning at 6 p.m. Josh Thompson, Craig Wayne Boyd and Morgan Wallen are scheduled to perform. Fireworks follow the concert.


Monroe County:


  • Madisonville’s 4th of July Street Fair runs from 4 to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Madisonville. Fireworks will follow.
  • Vonore’s 4th of July celebration, “Every Hero has a Story.” begins at 5 p.m. on July 4. The parade begins at 7 p.m. The Southbound Band plays at Heritage Park at 7:30 p.m. Vonore Baptist Church will put on fireworks at dark. THP Sgt. Lowell Russell will also be on hand for a book signing.
  • Sweetwater’s Independence Day Celebration starts at 7:30 a.m. on July 4 with a 5K race to benefit Monroe County Young Life. A cornhole tournament is at 11:30 a.m. The parade is scheduled for 3 p.m. with concerts throughout the evening. Fireworks will be presented at 9:30 p.m. in Recreation Park by Pyro Shows.


Campbell County:

  • Fireworks are schedule at the Roane State campus in LaFallette Friday night at dusk.
  • A festival is being held in Veterans Park in Jellico both Friday and Saturday. The Jellico Tourism Committee is hosting a mug bog event for ATVs, side-by-sides and trucks or jeeps. Helmets are required and participants must sign a waiver. Parking is behind the ballpark on Logan Street. Fireworks will be shot off at the ball park at dusk.
  • Flat Hollow Marina at Norris Lake is hosting a 4th of July party with live music from Kitty Wampus. Fireworks start at 10 p.m.


Claiborne County:


  • Tazewell’s Independence Day celebration has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 5, at Tazewell High School. Food venders will be on hand and fireworks will be set off at dark.


Scott County:


  • The Huntsville Firemen’s Fourth Festival runs Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4 in downtown Huntsville. Click here for the schedule of events.

Cocke County:


  • The Parrotsville Fireworks Spectacular runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. featuring fireworks, food and music at Parrotsville Elementary School.
  • The Sunset Gap Community Center is hosting its 45th annual 4th of July fireworks show in Cosby featuring a live auction, fireworks, music and food. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.


McMinn County:


  • Athens will host its Sounds of Summer Concert at the Athens Regional Park plaza. If it rains, the concert will be moved to inside the Conference Center. Fireworks will be held, rain or shine, at 9:30 p.m.
  • Etowah has postponed its fireworks show until September 5 due to the weather.


Hawkins County:


  • The annual Rogersville 4th of July Celebration includes a long list of events that culminate with a fireworks extravaganza at 10 p.m. on July 4. More information is available at the festival’s website.


Cumberland County:


  • Crossville’s Fourth of July Celebration runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on July 4 at Centennial Park. Music by Carrie Hassler and Soul Survivor begins at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m.
