Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival and is celebrated in the month of November
each year and is the biggest festival of Hindu as well as of India. Diwali is
also called as the festival of lights, festival of victory of good or light over
evil or darkness. Diwali extend over two day. on very first day people clean up
their house, office and celebrate choti diwali with their neighbors and
relatives, and next day is celebrated as lakshmi pujan and is the day for which
all preparations are made.

Special pakwans(dishes) are made to offer goddess Lakshmi and every member of
family participate in lakshmi pujan. And after puja fireworks follows, children
light fire crackers.
